We stayed in Atlanta all day today because Kate had a meeting here midday.
Jasper and I woke up around 12 and watched TV till around 3. We got lunch, came back to the hotel and went swimming. Jasper lost his favorite beanie though, because he was skating with it hanging our of his pocket.
Kate came back to the hotel after her meeting, and we all got dinner at a cool restaurant: Aunt Pittypat’s Porch. Its a brick walled, kind of old fashioned, southern restaurant, with southern dishes. I had the catfish.

We got up at 10 today. It was Adrian’s last day so we did what he wanted to do for the two hours before we had to leave: powerwalk around the hotel.
We drove to the airport and waited for Adrian’s plane to leave. It did, and we left for Atlanta.
In Atlanta, Japser and I skated for a little bit and went to bed.
There were no pics for today.

Adrian is leaving today, so we are putting some of his many quotes from the trip. Most of them probably wont seem funny to people though, kind of inside jokes (this post was written by Jasper)
“How do you know there will be upsets?”
“ He uses the Aztecian Calendar.”-Adrian (response to above)
“Hope your proud”-Adrian
“Add that to Japser’s list of brilliant ideas.”-Adrian
“kittens”-Adrian
“Broholmes, if I had my snowboard…”-Adrian
“Adrian are you naked?”-Stephen
“Yeah, and i was in your bed half the night”-Adrian (by the way he had pajama bottoms on, just not a shirt)
I’m asking him if he wants to say anything and at first he quoted Borat. All he really has to say is that he had a fun trip going across the U S and A.

Woke up at 10 or so, had breakfast, and it the road. It took us about 2 hours to get to Graceland, but we decided not to stay there, because we all just wanted to get to Nashville as fast as possible. The rest of the drive went fine, except for a half hour long patch of traffic, where an eighteen wheeler had tipped over the side of the road.
On the way to Nashville, we stopped at Lake DeGray, a lake in Arkansas. The water was scarily warm, almost too warm to be refreshing. It really felt like a giant hot tub with boats in it. It was weird, but really cool at the same time, because you could stay in the lake for a long time without getting cold.
The hotel we stayed at in Nashville was amazing. It was huge; it took 20 minutes just to walk from one side to the other. It was so big that it had an entire rainforest in it, comnplete with an indoor amazinoian river. All the restraunts in the hotel (there were multiple) had views of the rainforest. There were also skywalks over the forest that you could walk on, or you could just walk on ground level.

Pretty short drive today, and the last early morning for the rest of the trip.
We got up at 7:30, and left the hotel at 8. Then we only had a two hour drive until we got to Fayetteville, where Kate had a meeting, another two hours, and we were in Hot Springs.
Hot Springs is too hot to do anything except swim in the pool and watch Borat. However, we did mamage to get some pictures of the Arkansas countryside from the freeway.

More long drives today. Amarillo to Tulsa took about 5 or 6 hours. We left Amarillo at 9 and arrived in Tulsa at 3. Then we watched TV and went in the pool till 10. Not else much happened, except for that we were going to go looking for armadillos but everyone was too tired by the time it was dusk (when the armadillos come out).
No pics for today, because there really wasen’t anything happening.

We drove for seven hours today, through three states. Again, the drive was boring, but we did stop at one cool place: the Cadillac Ranch.
The Cadillac Ranch is some guys farm where he bought ten Cadillacs, dug ten holes, and put the cars, windshield first, in the ground. Over time, people spray painted them. The owner of the ranch doesn’t care if people do, and it makes them look crazy; a line of up ended, graffiti’d cars in the middle of dirt farmland.

Today we spent all day in Denver. Japser, Adrian and I went to Denver’s version of six flags with Justin, one of Jasper’s freinds who lives in Denver. We only spent three hours there before it got rained out though. Then we went to Justin’s house for dinner, and after that went back to the hotel to sleep. There are no pics for today because we didnt want to take the camera to six flags.

Another 7 hour drive today. Nothing has happened today except sleeping in the car and listening to Journey, usually accompanied by Jaspers version of singing: monotonous yelling. Or alternatively, Adrian and I replacing Jaspers name for words in a song (example: “just a small town jasper, living in a lonely jasper. He took the midnight jasper going anyyyweeeere).
We did stop at the Custer’s Last Stand Museum, which was cool. They had a bunch of really old rifles, pistols, native American wear, an old canoe, and various paintings of the famous battle. The canoe, in my opinion was the coolest, because it was just a huge tree trunk hollowed out and smoothed. It doesn’t sound that interesting in print, but take my word for it, it was cool.

Today was another day of driving, driving, driving. We got up at 10, had breakfast, and drove for 7 or 8 hours.
We stopped for lunch at a burger joint in some redneck town. It was seriously redneck. I saw a bumper sticker on a van that said “God, Guts, and Guns made America free”. This was written in a circle around a picture of a man in a KKK uniform. It was that bad.
The cool parts of Montana are the scenery from the highway. There are forested hills around lakes, and flat stretches of low, beige hills, both within 20 miles of each other. I also saw a moose for the first time, or I think it was the first time. There was other wildlife; Jasper, Adrian and I saw a few hawks and eagles.
We got to Bozeman at around the usual time, 10. We swam in the pool, watched Gene Simmons Family Jewels, and went to bed.
Sorry about the late posts, my brain is so fried after sitting for 7 hours, the only thing I can handle is TV and swimming. I’m writing my posts from the car now, so they should be on time from now on.
